According to Indian Railways, the work going on between Daliganj to Badshanagar and Gomtinagar to Malhaur routes comes under the Lucknow and Gorakhpur Railway Division. As a result of which this step has been taken by the Indian Railways. Giving more details, Lucknow Division PRO, Mahesh Gupta said that the cancellation of trains is aimed at improving passenger comfort.
Following is the list of trains which have been cancelled:
15009: Gorakhpur – Moilani Express – Canceled from February 20 to March 3.
15010: Moylani – Gorakhpur Express – will remain canceled from 21 February to 4 March.
05086: LNG-MLN Express – Canceled from March 1 to March 3.
05085: MLN-LNJ Express – Canceled from March 1 to March 3.
05492: Moilani-Sitapur Express – Canceled from March 1 to March 3.
05491: Moilani-Sitapur Express – Canceled from March 1 to March 3.
22532: Mathura-Chhapra Express – Canceled till 20th February, 24th February, 27th February, 1st March and 3rd March.
22531: Chhapra-Mathura Express – will remain canceled till 20th February, 24th February, 27th February, 1st March and 3rd March.
Meanwhile, Indian Railways recently announced the decision to run special trains on the occasion of Holi in different parts of the country. The move has been taken to control overcrowding during the festive season. Indian Railways has announced that it will run 16 special trains. “For the convenience of the passengers and to handle the excess, Railways has decided to run the following Holi Special trains to various destinations,” the Railways said.
Special trains include – 04672/04671 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi- Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Reserved Festival Special Express Train, 04053/04054 Anand Vihar Terminal-Udhampur- Anand Vihar Terminal Reserved AC Express, 045/041 – Varanasi – Anand Vihar Terminal Reserved Festival Special Express Train, 04530/04529 Bathinda-Baransi-Bathinda Festival Special Express Train, 04048/04047 Anand Vihar Terminal – Muzaffarpur – Anand Vihar Terminal Reserved Express.
