The Nifty 50 index is trading in green with a gain of 0.97% at 17980.30 level. Bank Nifty is trading at 42188.65 level with an increase of 520 points. The advance-decline ratio supported the advance, with 2773 shares rising and 690 shares falling on BSE while 152 shares remained unchanged on BSE.

In global markets, all three major US stock indexes ended Friday’s session in the green, with numerous data pointing to cooling inflation along with consumer spending.
