Penny Stocks List: The BSE Sensex was trading in the green zone at 11:13 am, up 129 points at 60,696.16. In the broader market, BSE Midcap rose 0.57% to 25,126.53 level with a gain of 136 points to trade in the green. Nifty Metals was the best-performing sector with a gain of over 2.7%, while Nifty Bank was the worst-performing sector with a loss of over 0.16%. The BSE Power index rose over 1.3% led by Adani Power, Adani Transmission and Adani Green. Top gainers include Tata Motors, Hindalco, JSW Steel, Tata Steel and ONGC. HDFC Bank, M&M, Dr. Reddy’s Labs, UPL and Bharti Airtel were the top raters.

The Nifty 50 is trading in the green at 18036, up a marginal 0.18%. Bank Nifty is trading with a marginal loss of 81 points at 42,588.65 level. Advance-decline ratio supports advance, 2443 stocks rose and 841 stocks fell on BSE while 121 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

In global markets, stock markets rose after China announced it would lift its quarantine requirements as the US dollar softened. US stock futures, the S&P 500 e-minis, rose 0.61% indicating that markets will pick up when they reopen after the Christmas break.
