Share Market Update: Multiple stocks facing volume break out including LIC! Any other names on the list? –

Share Market Update: Today the market opens at 9 am. The Nifty 50 (NIFTY 50) settled at 17,847.55 in the last trading session of the week on Friday, much lower than its previous day’s 17,893.45. This was a result of weak global economic conditions. Wall Street indexes ended lower on Thursday amid concerns over higher interest rates and another batch of corporate earnings. The Nasdaq Composite fell 1.02 percent, the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 0.73 percent and the S&P 500 lost 0.88 percent overnight. Even the futures market traded in the red. Asian market indices were mostly trading lower as overnight action on Wall Street tracked. Except for Japan’s Nikkei 225 index, all others traded in the red.

At 9:45 am today, the Nifty 50 traded down 80.35 points or 0.45 percent at 17,813.1. The market performed against the frontline indices. The Nifty Mid-Cap 100 Index fell 0.22 percent and the Nifty Small-Cap 100 Index gained 0.21 percent. As of February 9 data, both FIIs and DIIs were net sellers. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 144.73 crore. Domestic Institutional Investors (DII) sold shares worth Rs 205.25 crore.
