Share Market Update: Volume breakout of multiple shares including HDFC! Any other names on the list –

The Nifty 50 on Monday opened flat at 17,965.55 with a positive bias. The Nifty closed at 17,944.2 points on Friday. Wall Street indexes ended mostly lower on Friday as tech giants came under pressure amid concerns about inflation and strong economic data that could prompt the US Fed to continue its rate-hiking approach.

The Nasdaq Composite rose 0.58 percent, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.39 percent and the S&P 500 lost 0.2 percent on Friday. Asian market indices traded flat to positive on Monday, led by China’s SSE Composite Index and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng.

At 10:00 am today, the Nifty 50 was trading up 44 points or 0.25 percent at 17,988.2. Broader market indices, on the other hand, underperformed front-line indices. The Nifty Mid-Cap Index gained 0.08 percent and the Nifty Small-Cap Index declined 0.18 percent.
