Stock Market Holidays 2023: The Indian Stock Market will be closed for a total of 15 days in the new year. Which is 2 days more than 2022. Because, total 13 days were closed in 2022. At the beginning of the year, it has been informed when the stock market will be closed. As it turns out, the stock market will have an additional 2 days off in 2023 compared to 2022.

In 2023, the stock market will be closed for only 1 day in the current month i.e. January. The stock market will not be closed for a single day in February. Stock market will be closed for 2 days again in March. The most stock markets will be closed in April, for a total of 3 days. Stock market will be closed for 1 day in May and June. The stock market will not be closed for a single day in July. Stock market will be closed for 1 day in August and September. The stock market will be closed for 2 days in October and November and the stock market will be closed for 1 day in the last month of the year i.e. December.


In other words, the stock market will be closed in 2023—

January— 1 day
February—0 days
March—2 days
April—3 days
May—1 day
June—1 day
July—0 days
August—1 day
September—1 day
October—2 days
November—2 days
December—1 day

On the occasion of Republic Day in January, trading in the Stock Market will be closed on January 26. Then the stock market will be closed again on March 7. Stock market will be closed for 3 days in April. Those dates are April 4 (Mahabir Jayanti), April 7 (Good Friday) and April 14 (Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti) respectively.
The stock market will be closed on the occasion of Maharashtra Day on May 1 and Bakri Eid on June 28.


The stock market will not be closed for a single day in July.

Again in the month of August, the stock market will be closed on the occasion of Independence Day on August 15 and in September on September 19 as Ganesh Chaturthi. Stock market will be closed for 2 days in October and November. October will be closed on October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti) and October 24 (Dussehra) respectively. Again the 2 days of November are November 14 (Diwali) and November 27 (Guru Nanak Jayanti) respectively. The stock market will be closed for 1 day in the last month of the year i.e. December. December 25 will be a stock market holiday on the occasion of Christmas.
