Bangla Hunt News Desk: Former President of Pakistan Parvez Musharraf has died. He breathed his last in Dubai. He went to a hospital in United Arab Emirates on Sunday after suffering from a long illness. The chronically ill Musharraf served as President of Pakistan from 2001 to 2008.
He will be remembered by Indian cricket lovers for a special reason. Pervez Musharraf became a big fan of former Indian team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) after seeing him batting on Pakistani soil. He once gave a special piece of advice to Mahendra Singh Dhoni, which is remembered by cricket fans till date.
Dhoni sported long hair early in his career and became quite popular for his style. Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf was also impressed by Dhoni’s hairstyle. he
The star advised the wicketkeeper not to cut his hair short. Though Dhoni cut his hair to a normal length after some time.
He gave this advice to Dhoni during the 2005/06 season when the Indian team toured Pakistan. The third match of the ODI series of the tour was played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Dhoni played an unbeaten innings of 72 off 46 balls to win the team and was awarded the man of the match award.
During the award ceremony after the match, Parvez Musharraf praised Dhoni and said, ‘I have seen many people on the field saying that you are advised to cut your hair. But I will say that if you like it this way, you shouldn’t cut your hair. This is how you look.
Pervez Musharraf was born in Daryaganj, New Delhi in 1943. After 4 years his family decided to live permanently in Pakistan. Pervez Musharraf also lived in Turkey for a few years. Pervez Musharraf completed his schooling at St. Patrick’s School, Karachi and later from Farman Christian College, Lahore.
