What is seen in the viral video?
A man is seen having breakfast on the Vande Bharat Express in South India. The food is big. When the passenger pressed the food with his hand, oil seeped from it. The Twitter account that posted the video wrote, “The cost of food in India is as high as the quality is.”
The matter came to the notice of the railway officials from the video post. Even IRCTC responded. Officials have been directed to take action in this regard, IRCTC said. Later, it was informed by the South Central Railway that action has been taken against the food supplier in the incident. Fines have also been imposed.
The dilemma divided Twitter
However, social media is ambivalent about the viral video. Several Twitter users have reported similar experiences. On the other hand, several people commented that the video was intentional. The same amount of oil was obtained even if Barapao was made at home. In addition, many netizens said, ‘Do you eat any home-made food in such a way.’ Several netizens also said that this will happen if fried in oil. Although many have claimed, passengers should be served food only with due regard for their bodies.
However, such allegations against Vande Bharat Express are not new. Even on the Howrah-NJP route itself, such complaints are being raised from the very beginning. On the first day of East India’s only Vande Bharat Express, passengers said that the bathroom was unclean after getting off from New Jalpaiguri. On the other hand, there were complaints that the quality of the food was not good. However, the Indian Railways said that the railways is determined to provide all the facilities to the passengers.
