The Nasdaq Composite was down 0.14%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 were down 1.14% and 0.2%, respectively, in overnight trade. Tracking overnight activity on Wall Street, Asian indices traded lower on Wednesday.
At 10:15 am, the Nifty 50 was trading up 66.05 points or 0.37% at 18,119.35. Broader market indices, on the other hand, performed mixed compared to frontline indices. The Nifty Mid-Cap 100 Index gained 0.2% and the Nifty Small-Cap 100 Index gained 0.36%.
According to data till January 17, FIIs and DIIs were net buyers Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) bought shares worth Rs 211.06 crore. Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 90.81 crore.
